TheBleeding Heart] arrives at the site ofEdgar Bonnybluff]‘s shipwreck,Bennett] finding the ship after some searching.Bishop],Pot], andCaspian O’Leary] approach the shipwreck but are stopped when a group of Merrow attack.Bishop] is able to initiate a negotiation.
Tomal Cray] is enlisted to speak with the Merrow and reveals they speak Seravaxan, after whichRene] takes over speaking to them on the party’s behalf.Rene] (andBennett] throughRene]) negotiate a settlement. The Merrow negotiate for 60 Gp, theBleeding Heart]‘s supply of Sailcloth, and half of the contents ofEdgar Bonnybluff]‘s mysterious chest, in exchange for 3 Cannons and the other half of the contents of the chest. The Merrow produce the chest and cannons for the party.
Once back on theBleeding Heart] with cannons and chest, the Captains argue about whether they should fulfill the deal with the Merrow and whether they should open the chest. They open the chest and find 8 Bar Of Thramniums. They decide to give the Merrow 2. The Merrow are overjoyed having expected much less, and return one bar to the Captains and, at the Captains urging, transmute 7/8 of a bar into Thramnium Piercings for the party, having kept the other 1/8 for themselves.
